You have asked and we delivered a truly portable RAID solution - JetStor SATA 405U. Targeted for special applications from e-mail archiving and disk-to-disk backup to forensic investigations and home media servers, this 5-bay array array features powerful 400MHz 64-bit RISC processor for blazingly fast I/O operations, parity-assist ASIC, completely cableless backplane-based design, and storage capacities of up to 5TB in one small portable desktop enclosure. Three host connectivity options - USB, Firewire, and eSATA, will meet the requirements of just about any power user.

Low service and integration costs are assured by this JetStor's rugged design for heavy-duty field use, turbo cooling fans, and embedded RAID controller. One year warranty comes standard with every array and covers all components.

The JetStor SATA 405U RAID addresses requirements of many organizations with modest data storage prerequsites and delivers unparalleled flexibility, data availability, configuration simplicity, and portability.








Drive Capacity
Serial ATA drive capacities of 73GB (10,000 rpm), 150GB (10,000 rpm), 250GB (7,200 rpm), 300GB (7,200 rpm), 400GB (7,200 rpm), 500GB (7,200 rpm), 750GB (7,200 rpm) and 1TB (7,200rpm) are available.

Full 48-bit ATA addressing standard support.

Maximum addressable capacity 2TB via the USB and Firewire interfaces.

Maximum raw capacity of 5TB when using 1TB disk drives, addressable via the eSATA interface.

    Exclusive Advanced Data Sentry technology (RAID 6) provides the highest level of data protection. Multiple simultaneous drive failures can be tolerated without downtime or data loss.

    Array Roaming feature gives administrators the ability to move a complete raid set to another system without losing RAID configuration and data on that raid set.

    Redundant Flash Image provides an extra layer of protection against the firmware image corruption. If the primary firmware of the RAID controller becomes corrupted, the secondary firmware image will automatically be used.

    Full 48-bit ATA addressing standard support allows for up to 144 petabytes capacity per drive to be utilized in the RAID array.

    ASIC assisted parity for lightning-fast throughput.

    SNMP supported.

    RAID controller provides RAID 0, 0+1, 1, 3, 5, and RAID 6, Global Hot Spare Disk, Auto Rebuild, and up to 128MB of DDR ECC SDRAM-based data cache.

    Intelligent SATA backplane design (uses no cables) allows "hot swapping" of disk canisters, power supplies, and fans for increased reliability, lower cost, and ease of maintenance.

    Built-in management Ethernet port provides easy access to the web-based GUI RAID Manager for configuration, management, and monitoring functions. E-mail event notification built in.

    Completely user configurable via the front panel.

    Online Parity Consistency verification feature insures RAID set integrity.
